  • Honey (and in some cases additional sugar)
  • stiffly beaten egg whites
  • roasted nuts
  • wafers 

Honey and sugar are boiled in water and creamily stirred, the egg white is then folded in. Then the whole thing is left to simmer further and finally the peeled and roasted nuts are added, depending on the variant also candied fruit or candied orange peel. Finally, the mixture is spread onto a wafer, left to cool and then cut into the desired pieces.
