The production of delicacies such as the Pistachio Tartufo or the Dark Sweet Truffle takes more than 24 hours. Piedmontese hazelnuts are blended with the finest Tartufo chocolate to create a soft truffle mixture. Afterwards, this is hand-crafted by the finest pastry chefs into unique chocolates. The chocolate-making process follows an old tradition and to this day remains completely free of added preservatives.
Only selected hazelnuts from the famous Piedmont region are used for the Tartufi Dolci and other Italian delicacies. Purchasing the popular Tonda Gentile delle Langhe nut variety from regional farmers, the manufacturers then roast them to a medium strength.

In this way, the delicious hazelnut flavour can best develop and is not overpowered by the more intensive flavours of the chocolate or cocoa during later processing. Subsequently, the hazelnuts are pressed and processed into a delicious soft paste, which forms the heart of the later truffle pralines.

Only the finest chocolate beans are considered for the production of delicacies such as Gianduja truffle or Truffle Panna Cotta. The chocolate should enhance the flavours of the hazelnut without overpowering them. Therefore, a Cocoa content of 55 % ideal for the chocolate. But dark or white chocolate is also used for the delicious chocolates, for example in the Sweet White Truffle.

Tartufo Dolce is top-class Italian chocolates. These have their origins in the 19th century and were invented by Giuseppe Sebaste from Piedmont. What is special about these truffle pralines is the fine hazelnut flavour, which blends with delicious chocolate and cocoa aromas to create an incomparable composition. The hazelnuts for this still come from the traditional Piedmont region today, where they are purchased from selected farmers and subsequently processed into the world-famous Tartufi Dolci.
Unlike the classic Tartufo Dolce, this variant of the Italian sweet has ingredients like white hazelnut spread. Moreover, the delicious chocolates come with a Coating of icing sugar wrapped in, which gives them their white colour. The filling of the Sweet White Truffles also contains crunchy hazelnut pieces from exquisite roasted hazelnuts of the Piedmont region, or Piemontese, as they say in Italy.
Tartufo chocolates are at room temperature from the time of their production up to 3 years long shelf-life. Due to the traditional manufacturing method, which has a tradition of over 100 years, they are completely free from additives or preservatives.
